Heritage Social Studies 8: American History 2: 20th Century

This homeschooling course takes up where the first course, American History 1, ends.  Homeschoolers will further investigate our nation’s rich history by exploring the freeing of the slaves, which presents an excellent opportunity to discuss Christian values and the baneful attributes of prejudice with homeschoolers.  Homeschoolers will also be introduced to the Industrial Age while learning valuable lessons about how machinery affected the United States.  Social Studies 8: American History 2: 20th Century lets homeschoolers discover why our country opted to go to war with each successive conflict and how we came to be in our present position of fighting the War on Terror.
